Watch and record tv on pc
-------------------------

This is the original tv streaming program TuxVision and the associated capture filter DBOXIISource.ax which were both developed by Bernd Scharping. These were not working for many channels with my DM5620, so I modified both and streaming is now trouble free with no picture breaking using the Neutrino Dream Plus image. Tested for upto 5300 kBits/s without problem. The program is renamed to TuxVisionR to avoid confusion.

Although the program has been revised using the DM5620, it should also work for other dreamboxes.

The Neutrino Dream Plus is the best image for this but You can also test with other images, but there may be pixellation at high bitrates. With other images there will also be gradual loss of audio-video sync. If you are happy with the picture using other images, I can provide a version with automatic periodic sync. Of course Neutrino Dream Plus can be used with multiboot with other images.

Steps:-

(1) Download and install TRex from :-

	h**p://www.dbox2.info/download.php?viewpage=2&catid=5&subcat=

(2) If you already have TuxVision installed on your computer, uninstall the filter DBOXIISorece.ax. This is simple. Locate the file and note/copy the directory path (for example c:\Program Files\TuxVision). Open the dos command window and do:-

>cd directory path to filter (Return)

>regsvr32 /u DBOXIISource.ax (Return)

(3) Install the new (enclosed) filter DBOXIISource.ax. For this find the directory path to where this zip file has been unpacked. Then on the dos command window, do :-

>cd directory path to the new filter (Return)

>regsvr32 DBOXIISource.ax (Return)

(4) Start TuxVisonR. Select Destination and point to your recording folder. Select Options and input your dreambox ip. Close TuxVisonR.

(5) Start Dreambox on desired channel. Start TuxVisionR and select Preview and/or Record as you wish. To change channel, stop TuxVisionR and use expert webif.

(6) For full screen, right click on the picture and select.
